Motlhala Tau Lodge
Experience Africa With Purpose
Conservation in the heart of Botswana
Xtina and James R. Parks spend significant time in Botswana, where their conservation work is rooted. At the Limpopo-Lipadi Private Game & Wilderness Reserve — where Xtina serves on the Conservation Committee and James chairs the Game Reserve Council — their work reflects a shared belief that conservation thrives when paired with responsible land use, sustainable tourism and long-term ecosystem investment.
Motlhala Tau Lodge is an extension of that philosophy. Designed as a five-star private retreat and expedition base, it offers an immersive way to experience Botswana's wildlife and landscapes while supporting ongoing conservation efforts. Motlhala Tau means “lion footprint” — inspired by the lion tracks on the property when Xtina first visited.
ROAM opens the lodge for select private rentals, welcoming guests, photographers and conservation travelers into an intimate, fully supported setting. Each stay directly contributes to habitat protection, wildlife monitoring and community-led conservation across the region — travel becoming part of conservation in action.
