Transatlantic Hemisphere

"Transatlantic Hemispheres" is an exhibition that traverses a remarkable 7794-mile journey, featuring the works of six contemporary South African artists based in Cape Town. These artists employ a diverse array of techniques and mediums to express their unique experiences within the current social and political landscape of South Africa. All pieces in this exhibition were created after 2020 and delve into subjects like identity, migration, land, heritage, and language. This collection essentially invites a collective contemplation of the role and evolution of art in a post-pandemic world.
