About the event
This exhibit features Xtina Parks’ renowned photographs, meticulously captured with a Nikon full-frame digital camera. For a touch of tradition, smaller-scale images were transformed into 4x5 LVT negatives, expertly developed in a darkroom by Master Printer Alissa Marquis at f22BW using the historic Silver Gelatin process from 1871. The larger format photographs were exquisitely printed at Cone Editions studio, utilizing the pioneering Piezography process. Unique to Cone, Piezography represents the pinnacle of archival digital black and white printing technology.
Parks' commitment to photographic excellence is evident. Her images remain authentic and unaltered, except for necessary dust spot removal and adjustments in contrast and tones, ensuring the integrity and purity of her artistic vision.
